Contrary to standard belief, we actually want YOU to trade for yourself! Put your own future in your own hands, if you can. Why rely on someone else?
GBPUSD, H1:
Japan Opens. Fair Value Gap fills. We have a wick down. We Sell. The SL is 111 Points or 11 Pips. We Target the first FVG you see at the bottom. We got greedy. Perhaps it would shake any BUYS at the first GAP and then go further down to the 2nd FVG before turning? It did on this scenario.
Risk 1 : Reward 7
XAUUSD, H1:
As you can see, we took at SELL (it was late into New York Open). The upper FVG filled and we targeted the lower FVG. We risked 1339 points ($13.39 of movement) on Gold for a projected TP of 835 points ($8.35 of movement on the instrument). Not only was the Risk to Reward Ratio less than 1 : 1, we lost the trade all together. Our SL was hit only for the instrument to go straight to our TP immediately after.
After the Lower FVG filled, we took a BUY hoping that it would turn the next day at London open. Either it would blast down and we would lose a Risk of = 1. OR, it would go up where we had a Reward of = 4.
666 Risk ($6.66 on the instrument) : 2987 Reward ($29.87 on the instrument)
Why was the TP so aggressive? Why not exit at the breach of the previous high? We wanted to exit at the breach of the high of the previous FVG where we lost the SELL trade.
